Alan Stone out campaigning to save Basingstoke’s historic market, at a time when a new Farmers’ Market was being proposed. A successful compromise was reached so that both parties might be accommodated.

The launch of the Basingstoke office, with County Councillors Chris Lagdon (New Forest) and Mark Staplehurst (Rushmoor). Also present were Rob Burberry (National Campaign manager), Ann Vasilesco (County Chairman) and Alan Stone (Prospective Parliamentary candidate)

Alan Stone out with the "Save Deeside" campaign, working with unions and labour councillors to bring this plight to public attention. Although we did not save Deeside, the campaign stopped this year’s scheduled closures. Only Ukip county councillors voted to save Deeside and other homes, which were to close that year. Conservative, Labour and Lib-Dem county councillors voted to close the home of some very vulnerable folk.

Nigel Farage before a well-attended Public Meeting in Old Basing, at which Alan Stone was announced as candidate for the coming Westminister election. Co-incidentally, this was the day that Maria Miller resigned from the cabinet.
